Steps and Timelines?
A petitioner may obtain a “K-1″ nonimmigrant visa for the fiancée which permits them to enter the US to marry the petitioner. Once they have entered, from the date of arrival they have up to 90 days to get married. After the marriage, the non-citizen spouse can apply for permanent residence and remain in the U.S. while U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services processes their application.
